Julia Santos y Pablo Montero crecieron juntos en un pueblo entre los cañaverales del estado de Veracruz
hasta que un trágico accidente mata el mama de Julia, Margarita, y el padre de Pablo, Amador, levantando la sospecha que ellos
hiban a huir juntos. Trastornada por resentimientos, Josefina, la madre de Pablo, le prohibe acercarse a su amiga Julia y
lo envia a la capital. Ella tambien se encarga de manchar la reputación no solo de Margarita pero tambien de su hija. Doce
años despues, Pablo regresa al pueblo para formalizar con su novia, una muchacha superficial e interesada. Un encuentro con
la amiga de su niñez lo deja atontado: Julia se ha convertido en una mujer muy bella, muy rebelde y de muy mala reputación.
Apesar de esto, sentimientos muy adultos surge entre ellos, pero para estar juntos ellos tendran que vencer las mentiras y
odios que han separado sus familias por una generación.
Julia Santos and Pablo Montero grew up together in a small town among the cane fields of Veracruz until a tragic accident
kills Julia's mother, Margarita, and Pablo's father, Amador, raising suspicions that they were going to run away together.
Twisted by the apparent betrayal, Josefina, Pablo's mother, forbids him to see Julia and sends him away. She takes care of
blackening not only Margarita's reputation but also that of Julia. Twelve years later, Pablo returns home to introduce his
fiancée, a material and superficial young woman. An encounter with his childhood friend leaves him dumbstruck: Julia has become
a beautiful, rebellious woman, but with a very bad reputation. Despite this, very adult feelings surge between them, but to
be together they must battle the lies and hatreds that have torn their families apart for a generation.
